The Golden Empire Council is giving Scouts of all ages a chance to try Scouting like never before. In the summer of 2026, Scouts from all over northern California will meet at Beale AFB for a weekend of fun, games, military and aviation shows, an arena show, a community showcase, a merit badge midway, range and field sports, Cub Scout, Scout BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scout camps, a Fun Run, and Sunday services.

The 2026 Scout Expo planning committee has taken great care in creating a special event for the Scouts of the Golden Empire Council. Information in the leaders’ guide will help Scouts in your unit have a successful experience at this event. Because 2026 Scout Expo is being held on a military installation, we must take special steps to ensure the security and safety of the property and the participants in the program. Extra attention must be given to entry procedures to guarantee a quick and efficient entrance into Beale Air Force Base. The military has requested that we follow very specific instructions and rules in order for Scouting America to use the facility.
One of the key points that should not be missed is that all registrations for 2026 Scout Expo will be done online. The final registration deadline is January 10th, 2026. Unit Leaders, please work with your unit to ensure that no one misses 2026 Scout Expo. Register early for this great event. There will be no on-site registration for this event.
Remember, this event was planned and organized by volunteers like you. Planning an event of this size has taken many hours, and the spirit of scouting will help make this a special event for all who attend.
General Information
Location: Beale Air Force Base, new Maryville, California.
When: April 10th - April 12th
Who May Participants: All registered members of Scouting America. 2026 Scout Expo has a program for all levels of Scouting. Lions, Tigers, Wolfs, Bears, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts may participate. Adult Leaders are encouraged to attend this special event.
Leaders: Download the Leader’s Guide so you are fully aware of what is needed when completing the on-line registration, accessing Beale Air Force Base, fees, expectations, what to bring, event schedule, arrival and departure times, camping location and site, etc.
Fees: TBA
Camping: There will be encampments for Packs, Troops, Crews and Ships. Arrow of Light Scouts and Dens will be camping with troops.
Adults and Youth 18 or older: Must provide a current driver’s license or State ID card number, state of issuance and are they a U.S. citizen in the units on-line registration. Foreign national need to provide citizenship for which country, arrival date in the U.S., scheduled departure date and current address.
Driver: All drivers driving on the base must have with them in their vehicle current valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration and proof of auto insurance. Drivers will be asked to present these certificates when entering the Wheatland Gate.

>All participants must sign a Consent and Hold Harmless Agreement and Release of Liability Form
>All units must show a Local Tour Permit at check-in
>All units must submit a Unit Roster at check-in
>All youth must have a signed Parent Permission Form provided in the leader’s guide
